Many of our cadets played at the inter-regional qualification event on the weekend of the 20/21 February held at Byng Hall. Congratulations to Isobel and Alison (who was making her debut match appearance!) who both qualified for the U13 and U11 respectively. Despite some hard fought matches in the boys rounds, none were able to secure qualification but Noah and George won the consolation rounds for their respective age groups.

London 2012 Paralympic finalist Will Bayley, took some time out from his hectic preparations for Rio 2016 to return to his first table tennis club Byng Hall. Will, who now trains in Sheffield arrived with a posse of photographers in tow and spent much of the evening chatting and training with members of Byng Hall. Will's determination and commitment to the sport remain a huge source of inspiration especially for our younger players. We wish Will every success as he prepares for this years Paralympics in Brazil.
