Three teams from Byng will compete at Women's British League the weekend of 7/8 February - when we have the results we'll put them up.
Young players from Byng picked up the U13, U15 and U18 Doubles titles as well as the Handicap Trophy titles at the West Kent TTA Tournament held Saturday 31 January at St John School. Congratulations to Nicola who won the U13 and U15 tournaments, Becky and George who won the junior doubles and also to Becky for lifting the Handicap Trophy at the end of a very long day!
Chumika, Ruth, George and Luke all competed at the Kent Schools Individual Championships at the Howard Center in Gillingham on Tuesday 27 January. There were some strong performances with all the players winning their initial groups. Congratulations to Chumika and Ruth who went on to win the U13 boys and U16 girls events respectively. Consequently both Ruth and Chumika have been invited to compete in the National Schools Individual Championships at Tipton in April. Thanks to Chumika, Ruth, George and Luke for contributing to another great set of results for Byng Hall.
Ruth and her teammates Scarlet, Reece, James and Ben helped to secure Kent's position in the U15 county premiership division the weekend of the 24/25 January in Wellingborough. Whilst there was a significant gender bias in the results (well done lads!) everyone won at least one won match to contribute to teams performance.
GB Para table tennis player Will Bayley, who became world champion in China in September, has been shortlisted for The Daily Mirror and Sport England Pride of Sport Awards in the disability sport category.
Please note top 2 teams in Division 2 will go up to Division 1 and the bottom 2 teams in division 1 will go into Division 2 for the next round on the 30th November |
